Coin silver presentation cup, Unknown makers, C1880
The body is seamed at the back, with applied lip and base
and base edge. Marked COIN under base. Possibly converted
from a handled cup (evidence of solder on the seam side, where
there is a repair). Fully hand chased and formerly engraved.
Engraving was filled at an earlier date but some shadows appear
as the piece oxidizes. Obviously it was used as a presentation
cup in the late 1800's
